I raise my hat

 

I raise my hat in greeting, to those who make me smile.

​

I raise my hands in welcome,  to those who'll stay a while.

​

I raise my voice with pride and joy to those whose views I share,

 

likewise to those with different views,  if they say it true and fair.

​

And to those who raise my spirits,  when they go out of their way,

 

I wave my hands as they wave theirs,  in friendship, day by day.

​

So heed my friends both near and far, I raise my hat for you,

​

for you're the ones where ere you are who share ,

​

a simple love that  unites us all.
