They all said that love means never having to say you're sorry.

            So I never did.

They all said that no matter what I say or do she'll understand.

            So I did what I liked.

They all smiled when she left in such a hurry, it’s just a huff.

            So I smiled.

They all said that she’ll come back; just you wait and see.

            So I waited.

They all said take my word, you’re better off without her.

            So I took their word.

They all said you’ll soon find another.

            But I never did.

They all said that I would forget her.

            But I never will.
